Family Fun Getaway near Algonquin Park, Muskoka in the Almaguin Highlands

We had a really great Ontario Family Weekend with the kids in the Almaguin Highlands near Algonquin Park. The weather was great for outdoor activities such as Snowmobiling, Ice Fishing and Tobogganing.

We first started out our weekend enjoying an afternoon on Perry Lake with the 1st Kearney Beavers Colony enjoying a speech on ice safety, crafts, lunch and Ice Fishing.

Later in the afternoon we enjoyed departing from Sand Lake to do some snowmobiling through the Almaguin Highlands around Burks Falls and Pickerel Lake.

On Sunday we enjoyed a beautiful refreshing morning tobogganing in Emsdale. I have heard some people say that there is nothing to do up north. Ontario North is a great Ontario Destination.

Cottage Country north of Muskoka and near Algonquin Park is a great place to enjoy a Family Getaway anytime of the year.
